My Models

I got into model building when I saw two of my mom's models and one of my dad's sitting in the garage, and I asked her if I could build them and she said yes. After I built those two, I knew it was something that I would want to continue doing, so that is what I did. I bought more models, paint, and everything that I needed to continue building models. Here are pictures of the models I have built so far. As I finish more, I will be adding them to the page in the order that I build them

Richard Petty STP Grand Prix

This was one of my mom's. I didn't put the top on it or paint it cause it was the first one I did. There was so much detail to the engine, interior, and the roll cage on this one. It has a complete chassis and suspension, detailed 600 horsepower, 358 cubic engine, GM V-8, with headers and exhaust dumps. A Borg Warner T-10 4-speed manual transmission, a 9-inch rear end with seperate oil cooler pump, and a seperate shift linkage. Individual front upper A-arms, coil springs, Bilstein gas shocks, and JFZ 12" disk brake assemblies, along with 9-hole racing wheels. A complete roll cage, engine/rear end oil reservoir compartments, rear end oil cooler, fire extinguisher, Butler racing seat, and a detailed instrument panel. The trunk includes a detailed fuel cell with filler and vent hoses

Mark Martin Folgers Thunderbird

This was another one of my mom's. The decals that came with it tore everytime I tried to put them on, so I just painted where the decals were supposed to go. I was able to get some decals on, but not that many. Again, there was alot of details to this one

Dodge Ram D-50

I went to the Hobby Store and wanted to do a truck and I saw this one. I picked this one cause I had two options of how to build it. Either stock or custom and I chose custom. The engine was pretty detailed on this one. It is turbo charged with an over-head cam, twin-balance shaft engine, 105 horsepower and 139 cubic engine. Front air dams and side skirts, with fat tires, and custom rims

Since it had an option of building it stock or custom, it came with two sets of rims. I decided to paint the other set gold and put them in the back under the system. I added a sunroof to the top, painted a line down the front of the truck and Dodge on the back along with a fat stripe to give it a better look

King Cobra Mustang II

This one was my dad's that was sitting in the garage and I got tired of just seeing it sit there so I asked him if I could build it, and here it is. The engine was pretty difficult in this one but I finally got it. The decals it came with were cracked so I decided not to put them on. I painted it somewhat like the picture on the box, but customized it a little

P-51D Mustang (Big Beautiful Doll)

This is the first plane that I have built. It really wasn't that difficult except for some parts, but overall it was pretty easy and fun as well. I was able to put all the decals on

#6 Valvoline Mark Martin Taurus Stock Car

This is one my grandma sent to me and asked me to do for her. It took me longer than it normally would, because after I would glue some parts together, they would come apart again. Some of the decals that were supposed to be one, tore when I was applying them, but I was able to get them all on

Super Stallion Mustang

This one took me awhile to get done, because there were brush strokes on it when I got done painting it. So I repainted it over again. The car is painted exactly how it is on the box. The blue and white paint job is on the other side of the model

Bugatti EB 110 Daytona

This is the first metal model that I have done. All I had to do was put the parts together without glue, and put the decals on. The best part about this model, is that I didn't have to paint it. I mainly did this one because I had a case for it, and needed the right size model to fit in the case. I am thinking about doing more of these, because this one was pretty fun

1953 Ford Flipnose

This truck was a little difficult. It was a fun model to build, but it had its problems. The front end is supposed to flip up and reveal the engine, but I just glued it down because some parts broke, and I had to improvise to get it done. Some parts have came off since I have built it, but all I have to do is glue them back on

I will be adding more models as soon as I get them finished
